Dating Anxiety

Dear Dr. Paulette,

I never know whether a guy likes me.  I dissect every date and torture myself over whether he’ll call.  What should I do?

Dear Insecure,The question inside the question is not whether he likes you; it’s whether you like yourself.  When you go on a job interview, you might be brilliant and talented but still not get the job.  It’s the same with dating.  Your dating experience will be miserable if you continue to let others effect how you feel about yourself.  Look at what is great about you, make a list and hold it as your context no matter whom you meet and how long it takes to find a match.  Remember you are worth it.
